Located in the northern most tip of Argentina, Iguazú Falls is uniquely surrounded by 4 countries - Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay and of course Argentina. This natural wonder literally has hundreds of waterfalls (in less than a 2 mile distance) and was recently chosen as one of the 'new' 7 natural wonders of the world. The surrounding tropical forest and humid climate makes Iguazu a completely unique experience to the rest of Argentina.
For those of you that read my Destination: Argentina Post, you will recall that spending time at an authentic Argentinian ranch (estancia) was a really important wish list item for me when planning my trip. Gauchos are the traditional cowboys of South America and can be found in Argentina as well as Uruguay & Brazil. This post is nothing but a shameless display of my favorite eye-candy moments...who doesn't love a little color therapy on a gray winter day?
